Two scrapbooks of the musical activities of George William Warren, 1828-1902, an organist in Albany, Brooklyn, and later at St. Thomas' Church, New York City, 1828-1902.

Contains two scrapbooks of musical programs beginning in Albany, New York, in 1849, to a nearly complete set of published Christmas and Easter programs from St. Thomas's Church in New York between 1870 and 1880. Book 1 covers the period 1849-1866 and book 2 covers 1867-1880. It appears that some pages in the scrapbooks have been removed.

George William Warren was born in Albany, New York, on August 17, 1828. By the time he was 18, he was serving as the organist of St. Peter's Church, remaining until 1858, when he moved to St. Paul's Church, Albany. In 1860, he removed to Brooklyn, where he spent a decade as organist at the Church of the Holy Trinity. Between 1870 and 1900, he served as organist at St. Thomas' Church in New York.
